The Children's Society

The Children's Society works with some of this country's most disadvantaged and marginalised children and young people through over 90 projects in England and Wales.  Two of these projects operate in Suffolk: the Waveney Child and Family Support Project based at Lowestoft and the SPACE project at Ipswich.  SPACE stands for Suffolk Partnership Achieving Choice and Experience.  The project works with young people with severe learning disabilities.  A family support unit also undertakes to give help, guidance and support to the other members of the young people's families.  The Children's Society also operates the Mid-Essex Drug Awareness Project in Chelmsford and the Key Move project based in Norwich.
